i opened up a new post, and now...i don't know what to say.
i feel like i need to punish myself. And it makes me sad...sad because i shouldn't punish myself...and sad because i'm the only one that can.
i feel like...god, this will open a can of worms, but hey, if you can't expose yourself on a blog, where can you?...i feel like i need to starve myself. i feel a great, gaping hole inside me, and i feel like every part of me should feel the same. Funny...you'd think that i would feel like eating everything in sight to try to fill that hole.

You are probably familiar with the fact that it sounds like you're an emotional eater. I found an article at the Mayo Clinic:

I'm the same way, an emotional eater- I think some of us are so emotionally sensitive that we actually "self-medicate" with food to numb ourselves. But that's where the problems start. I think it's a really hard mindset to get out of, but I think you have to try to think more positively, and learn to be kinder to yourself.

I believe that you can't focus on the food alone, and can't look at food as the enemy. It's just fuel. And I know it's hard, I struggle with it too- but I try to be hopeful and positive about myself and life in general, and I've found that it really does help with one's peace of mind. *s

This may sound odd, but it works for me, and this is probably why i stay slim or as slim as i choose to be. We all love to eat. Who doesn't. But, i find that if i can "control" what i eat and when then i am winning. Yes control.
We all like to have some form of control in our lives. So this is one area i feel we can.
So if you look at that whole pizza, and think...i can eat pizza, but i can't have the whole pizza pie. i am then taking the control to eat 2 slices, only, then i am done. Just two. The rest is leftovers, or i toss it out.
I find that if i can control what goes in my mouth i win the battle.

And if you/or i fail one day on that control, i know that tomorrow i can pick up that control and start fresh the next day. -smiles-

Starving yourself is not the way to go, though I understand where you're coming from. It's true you need to take control. I think you're in a position right now where you believe you're not in control.
You need to go back to what you were doing: eating right and exercising. I know, sweetie, it's easier said than done. I understand that. But you're special and you're strong and you can do it. I believe in you. *hugs and kisses*
